Street of Reuse

La Ruelle du Réemploi (french). If i translate, that will be Street of Reuse. What is it? Montreal Museum of Fine Arts will offer free materials used in exhibits: catalogs, magazines, greeting cards, metal tables and table tops aluminum, paint, fixtures, glass plates, racks, boxes, curtains, plexiglass, metal shelves and decor furniture (benches, cushions, flower pots, etc). (last text from their facebook fan page)

Here're some pictures that i took while i was walking. I love taking pictures of restaurants.

Lights in the sky

what are the white dots in the sky?

Not it's not the aliens. (i thought it was... =.=)
They are lights projections that some of these can be controlled by the public. A design created by Rafael Lozano-Hemmer.

"The artist, who has already presented his interactive works in the world’s largest cities, entitled this piece “Intersection articulée”. What’s fascinating about the experience is that it’s a social interaction that takes place in the sky. Even as human participants control the beams from terra firma, they intersect and interact in the skies above Montreal, creating a kind of celestial encounter" -found on quartier des spectacles website

When i arrived, i was amazed by many lights moving around. When i took the picture, it showed the lights less brighting.. o.O

A big lever, it wasn't heavy to move around

Elixir: water, music and light

I went to see a show with dancing fountains at Place des Arts in the heart of Montreal. It is called Elixir. The presentation goes on till October 9th 2010. It shows at 8:00, 9:00 and 10:00 pm. I went at 9:00 and it was cold outside. I was sitting and waiting, frozen like icecube. It was raining a little bit, but that didn't bother me. The show was beautiful and magical. I love the effects and the colors.

''Elixir is a magical tale of the encounter between a pixel and a drop of water. In this ode to life, you will be a privileged witness to their connection, their convergence, their confrontation and their reunion. Sometimes calm and sensual, sometimes energetic and dazzling, the fabulous dance of water, sound and light will take us into a drop of water and carry us across the oceans. The delicate combinations of images and music awaken the senses to the fragility of water.''

Walking around at the Old Port

The weather was great. I was with my bf and his friends. We went to eat at Montréal Poutine. Poutine is a dish with french fries, cheese and gravy, and it is originated in Québec, Canada. The food was okay and the gravy didn't taste a lot. If you want the best poutine, go to La Banquise on Rachel Street.

The menu.

After that, we walked around a bit. We were supposed to go to the Labyrinth Shed 16, but they were a lot of people. Mostly children with their parents and teens go there. I'm still a kid too =P Maybe next time.
